Overview

Motion Tracker is committed to protecting your privacy. This app is designed with privacy as a core principle and does not collect, store, or share any personal information.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Motion Tracker does NOT collect:

• ❌ Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• ❌ Location data
• ❌ Usage analytics or tracking data
• ❌ Device identifiers for advertising
• ❌ Photos or videos from your camera
• ❌ Browsing history
• ❌ Search history
• ❌ Health or fitness data
• ❌ Financial information (beyond purchase receipts managed by Apple)
• ❌ Any data that could identify you personally

Data Stored Locally

The app stores minimal data locally on your device only:

1. Recording Count (integer)
   • Purpose: Track free trial usage (8 free recordings)
   • Storage: Device only (UserDefaults)
   • Deletion: Automatically removed when app is uninstalled
2. Purchase Status (boolean)
   • Purpose: Verify if you’ve purchased the full version
   • Storage: Managed by Apple’s StoreKit
   • Deletion: Managed by Apple’s systems

Camera and LiDAR Usage

The app requires camera and LiDAR sensor access for augmented reality motion tracking:

• Purpose: Measure distance to objects in real-time using depth sensing
• Processing: All data is processed on your device only
• Storage: Motion data exists only in memory during recording sessions
• Capture: No photos, videos, or permanent images are captured or stored
• Transmission: No camera or depth data is transmitted anywhere

The camera permission is required for ARKit to function, but we never save or share any visual data.

Purchases and Payments

In-app purchases are handled securely by Apple:

• Payment processing is managed by Apple’s App Store
• We do not have access to your payment information
• Purchase receipts are stored by Apple, not by us
• For refunds, contact Apple Support

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we don’t collect any data to share.

• No analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• No advertising networks
• No social media integration
• No cloud storage services
• No data brokers

Internet Connection

Motion Tracker does not require an internet connection to function. The app works entirely offline except for:

• Checking purchase status with Apple’s servers (when you purchase or restore)
• Downloading in-app purchase product information from Apple

Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

Motion Tracker does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is safe for use by children because:

• No personal information is collected
• No account creation required
• No social features or chat
• No advertising
• All processing happens on-device

Parents can safely allow children to use this app.

Your Rights

GDPR (European Union)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data: There is no personal data to access
• Delete your data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data
• Export your data: Recording data can be exported to CSV during sessions
• Object to processing: No processing of personal data occurs

CCPA (California)

Under CCPA, you have the right to:

• Know what data is collected: None
• Delete your data: Uninstall the app
• Opt-out of sale: No data is sold

Data Deletion

To delete all local data:

1. Uninstall the app (removes everything)

Purchase history is managed by Apple. To delete purchase records:

• Contact Apple Support at https://support.apple.com

Security

Even though we don’t collect data, we still prioritize security:

• All processing happens on your device
• No data transmission to external servers
• StoreKit purchases use Apple’s secure payment system
• Camera/LiDAR data never leaves your device

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

App Tracking Transparency

Motion Tracker does not track users. Therefore:

• No ATT (App Tracking Transparency) prompt is required
• Your activity is never tracked across other apps or websites
• No advertising identifiers are collected
• Your usage patterns are not monitored

Third-Party Services

Motion Tracker uses zero third-party services except:

• Apple’s StoreKit for in-app purchases (required by iOS)
• Apple’s ARKit for augmented reality tracking (built into iOS)

Both are first-party Apple frameworks with their own privacy protections.
